I had a dream last night and in it, I was asking a man to identify a crystal that I had been gifted many years earlier in my life. The crystal was a dark pinkish colour, kind of sparkly and quite gritty looking – almost metallic.

This crystal expert asked who had given it to me and under what circumstances. It had come from a male friend who had given it as a gift of honour and unconditional plutonic love. He told me that the crystal was called Chal(something). As I knew the crystal name chalcedony, I assumed that this was the name he had used. Upon waking, I immediately searched the internet for chalcedony only to be disappointed that it wasn’t the right crystal. 

Once it got to a sensible time of the day, I consulted with my friend and real life crystal expert here in Dubai, Laila from Sparkle Fairy to ask her about it all. I described the crystal and then visited her site to see if I could find a picture of one. Here’s what I found.

Laila told me that this is Bornite or Peacock Ore. Upon learning its name, I then did some further research on the internet. Bornite/Peacock Ore is also known as Chalcopyrite, so the “chal” part that I’d heard in my dream was correct after all.

Here are the metaphysical properties of Peacock Ore:

I believe that we are sent messages in our dreams and that if we can interpret them, we should bring these messages into our waking lives too. Therefore, I’m meeting up with Sparkle Fairy tomorrow to buy that piece of Peacock Ore that I saw in my dream and make it my reality.

Update: 29/05/14 I have been to see Sparkle Fairy and here is the crystal from my dream! It is the exact size and colour and I am over the moon with it. What’s even better is that it is wire wrapped so I can wear it and take it with me wherever I go. I has now been cleansed with incense and had been blessed with the energy of the universe to enhance its properties and to work for me in the highest and best way. Namaste little crystal <3
